Short Sabbatical

I’ve been away from my usual activities for a little bit. I picked up the materials to start a drafting project. I’m going to draw an engine that I’ve designed, over the last 40 years or so. I’m drawing it to demonstrate two principles. The first is to get around the pressure and fuel limitations in conventional engines. The second is to create a way to contain combustion in a small zone in the combustion chamber. This engi8ne would have both a load sensitive compression ratio and output speed. What I would do with it, beyond my own amusement, I don’t know. Yes, it would get as lot better gas mileage, perhaps double.

I’ve read so many articles and papers about altering the pressure curve, and they seem to be a partial answer, not really changing ther curver that much. I also want to beat the pressure limit at which detonation and pre-ignition occurs. If the pressure level is physically altered after the fuel is burned, there can be no damaging uncontrolled reactions. It’s just hot, inert gas.

The U. S. Patent Office has always been the most corrupt agency in the U. S. government. It’s that little clause about awarding patents to the applicant “best able to bring a product to market”. That’s why the man who invented the intermittent wiper blade system had to fight Ford for years, and spend 5 million of his own money to get a judgment. At the last that I heard, he hadn’t gotten a dime from Ford. The highest proprietary interest is served. I would rather put it in the public domain and have a thousand little cottage industry shops build it. That can’t be stopped.

Two Masters Update: Feb. 19th, 2012

This topic is written with the belief that people still have the choice of which master they will serve. The rebellious streak in human nature wants to be free of any authority higher than itself. That is a philosophical and spiritual impossibility, as I will demonstrate. Most people respond to the principles that I express in these posts with; “Oh all that old Bible stuff doesn’t apply to people today! Times have changed.  We’re so much more modern than dirt farmers and illiterate herdsmen.” Are we really so advanced that there are no limits on behavior? The evidence of the news each day say that humanity hasn’t changed a bit, in 6,000 years.

Money From Nothing, And Your Perks For Free

The United States of America was once a nation of laws, consistent with Biblical standards. Where we departed from that path is very clear in history. The requirements and consequences are as certain and immutable as the Law of Gravity. It is obvious that America has been suffering the Biblical curses of War, Famine, Pestilence  and Plague, for the past 150 years.

Money From Nothing, And Your Perks For Free Update 12/25/2011

It is a basic flaw in human nature that brings people to accept things as they are, as good and right. The false commercial mentality that is indoctrinated into everyone by indoctrination into the corporate structure produces automatic and predictable responses, when confronted with the truth. It’s not our fault. we live our lives in ignorance, Many times, I’ve asked why I couldn’t have just stayed blissfully ignorant, going along to get along. The answer is found, everywhere in Scripture. I couldn’t be left in ignorance. People claim to follow Yeshua ha Maschiach, Jesus the Christ.  Actually doing that requires knowing what the rules are, and walking in them. Instead, the commercial identity, the way of the world, automatically shoots the messenger.

That is the way it is. If people really knew what that meant, they would be horrified. It is not our fault. We inherited lies from our fathers. It isn’t their fault, either. We couldn’t be trained in the way we should go, any better than they were. Fortunately, the world and it’s rebellious system is being revealed for what it is. It is institutionalized prostitution,  It is a very complex system of indentured servitude, to the wrong master. It is becoming impossible to  live and function in society, while still maintaining personal integrity and a clean conscience.

People don’t know that their commercial actions contradict everything they claim to be.  Today, a newborn child can’t leave the hospital, without the application for a Social Security number filled out. Parents don’t know that they are pledging their children as security for debt. They are selling them to the state. They are participating in human trafficking.

People don’t know that, when they voluntarily affirm that they are U. S. citizens or legal residents, they reject YHVH and His ways. They don’t care what is written. They’re too busy satisfying a government that presents itself as their god, and demands worship and tribute. U. S. citizens have volunteered to pay the debts of the Federal corporation. They have given their consent to all that corporation does in their name. U. S citizens insist in staying in this Babylonian system of unjust weights and measures. They compel everyone they encounter, to do the same. The consequences of insisting on believing the lies of the corporation will have disastrous consequences. There is only one good choice left. We have had many warnings. This is only the beginning of sorrows.

Rev 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

2008 was a warning. The financial world received a shock that it still hasn’t recovered from. 2011 has been another year of warnings. The currency itself is an abomination. The more people trust in it, the more they will suffer. There are 10 million people in the United States, who are one month’s expenses away from being out in the street, with nowhere to go. This is only the beginning. Everything that people believe and trust in will disappear. It was never real. The system has always rebelled against Biblical truth, as well as it’s own history. The choice is clear. Choose this day, whom you will serve.

The United States of America was once a nation of laws, consistent with Biblical standards. Where we departed from that path is very clear in history. The requirements and consequences are as certain and immutable as the Law of Gravity. It is obvious that America has been suffering the Biblical plagues of War, Famine, Pestilence  and Plague, for the past 150 years.

By the middle of the 19th century, America had reached a point of lawlessness in public and institutional conduct, that changes began. Those changes in the structure of society and the commercial activity that ensued, produced a very different environment  what the Founders had envisioned. In the most basic choice of law, the currency changed. The War of Federal Conquest wasn’t the first bought with fiat currency, but it is the longest lasting departure from the Biblical standard definition of money.

We were warned, and did not heed the warning. The penalties for failure to keep and follow the instructions of God, and to execute His judgments are very specific. The causality of action leading to consequence  is a hard standard that many cultures have not survived. I will focus on one of those standards, that of just weights and measures.

Lev 19:35 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in meteyard, in weight, or in measure.
Lev 19:36 Just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin, shall ye have: I am the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt.
Lev 19:37 Therefore shall ye observe all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: I am the LORD.

The battle over money began in colonial days. In Rhode Island, the penalty for refusing to accept the paper currency was death. The inflation rate reached 2,000%, per year. Bankruptcy was swift, In 1013, the United States decided that it didn’t want Biblical standards, anymore. Instead, Congress chose what was behind Door #2, and passed The Federal Reserve Act of 1913. This brought us into the Babylonian, Greco-Roman monetary system of government fiat. We have reaped the crop from that rebellious seed, ever since. That action brought on a series of events that should have brought us to our knees and turned us from our wicked ways. There was no question in anyone’s mind, that the Great Depression was extreme hardship. It wasn’t just monetary collapse. Crops were destroyed by drought or devoured by pests. Epidemics spread through the country, like wildfire.  A whirlwind season in 1934 brought 15 dust storms that ravaged the land. Yet, this wasn’t as far as it could have gone. Even though the last Biblical curse to afflict us was WW II, there are yet unrealized possibilities.

Deu 28:56 The tender and delicate woman among you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter,

Deu 28:57 And toward her young one that cometh out from between her feet, and toward her children which she shall bear: for she shall eat them for want of all things secretly in the siege and straitness, wherewith thine enemy shall distress thee in thy gates.

Deu 28:58 If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD;

Deu 28:59 Then the LORD will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance.

Deu 28:60 Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee.

Deu 28:61 Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.

Deu 28:62 And ye shall be left few in number, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because thou wouldest not obey the voice of the LORD thy God.

Deu 28:63 And it shall come to pass, that as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the LORD will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it.

Deu 28:64 And the LORD shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone.

Deu 28:65 And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the LORD shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind:

Deu 28:66 And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life:

Does it have to come down to women eating their children because of hardship and poverty, again? That is how severe judgment can be. It is severe enough that Homeland Security has made contingency plans to deal with possible cannibalism, in the major cities. But don’t despair. There is a remedy and there is a plan to escape the worst of possibilities.

2Ch 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

2Ch 7:15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.

2Ch 7:16 For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.

2Ch 7:17 And as for thee, if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, and do according to all that I have commanded thee, and shalt observe my statutes and my judgments;

2Ch 7:18 Then will I stablish the throne of thy kingdom, according as I have covenanted with David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man to be ruler in Israel.

If historical example is not enough for us, there is nothing left to be said. I would ask everyone the question that I’ve asked myself, many times.

What then, shall we do? Will we continue in the “way it is”. or shall we admit that we have inherited lies from our fathers? Will we turn from this course of certain destruction, or will we perish in the destruction to come? There is a very clear choice before us. Choose life.

Cancer Of The Wallet

               Cancer Of The Wallet

The world has cancer of the wallet. It is now spreading to the body.  There once were protections that stopped it from touching us, but the malignancy has gotten past the world’s immune system. The central banks have determined that the treatment should be more of the same poison that turned the cancer loose, in the first place.

Tuesday, Jan. 24th, 2012 – It’s a very uneasy atmosphere in the world, this week. With all of the bad financial news and the threat of war, it seems that people are conditioned to expect nothing to happen. While it does help my peace of mind to not worry about things that haven’t happened, I also have one I eye open to the possibility of sudden changes. I see the important plan is to have a plan. Everything doesn’t go the way it was planned. This is where understanding Biblical principles and the lessons of history are important. In that regard, we are all still in school. We have a lot to learn, and we need instruction. We have seen enough to know that dependency is a problem. If we are cut off from necessities, we are vulnerable. Sometimes, people approach their worst enemies for help. It is a very dangerous thing to be at the mercy of human nature.

Swiss Banks May Pay Billions, Disclose Names
By David Voreacos, Klaus Wille and Giles Broom -

Swiss banks will probably settle a sweeping U.S. probe of offshore tax evasion by paying billions of dollars and handing over names of thousands of Americans who have secret accounts, according to two people familiar with the matter.

U.S. and Swiss officials are concluding negotiations on a civil settlement amid U.S. criminal probes of 11 financial institutions, including Credit Suisse Group AG (CSGN), suspected of helping American clients hide money from the Internal Revenue Service, according to five people with knowledge of the talks who declined to speak publicly because they are confidential.

Switzerland, the biggest haven for offshore wealth, wants an end to new U.S. probes while preserving its decades-old tradition of bank secrecy, the people said. The U.S. seeks data on Americans who have dodged U.S. taxes and a pledge by Swiss banks to stop helping such clients, according to the people. The Swiss reached accords this year with Germany and the U.K. on untaxed assets.

“The Swiss would like to get out of this by paying money, and they’ve done that with other countries,” said tax attorney H. David Rosenbloom of Caplin & Drysdale Chartered in Washington, who isn’t involved in the talks. “For the U.S., it’s not primarily a money question. It’s a matter of making sure the laws apply fairly among taxpayers.”

Final Accord

The Swiss government seeks to outline a final accord for the Foreign Affairs Committee of its Parliament’s upper house on Nov. 10, according to a person familiar with the matter. The number of banks that will pay to resolve the U.S. negotiations may extend beyond the 11 under criminal investigation, the people said.

“We are aiming for an all-encompassing solution that will apply to all the banks,” Finance Minister Eveline Widmer- Schlumpf said in an Oct. 4interview in the Swiss capital Bern. “We don’t want to be confronted with the same issues time and again.”

Under accords this year with Germany and the U.K. on untaxed assets, the identity of clients remained secret. The U.S. insists that the Swiss disclose client account data, and the banks may end up handing over data on 5,000 to 10,000 accounts, the people said. A final determination hasn’t been made, they said.

Criminal Charges

The U.S. Justice Department also may bring criminal charges or civil enforcement actions against any of the 11 financial institutions. They could avoid prosecution by separately paying fines, admitting wrongdoing and disclosing data, the people said. On Aug. 30, the Justice Department requested statistical data from the 11 about their U.S. accounts, which the U.S. has received and is analyzing, the people said.

Credit Suisse, the second-biggest Swiss bank, said July 15 that it was a target of U.S. prosecutors. On July 21, seven Credit Suisse bankers were indicted on a charge of conspiring to help U.S. clients evade taxes through secret accounts.

The group of 11 also includes HSBC Holdings Plc (HSBA), the biggest European bank, Basler Kantonalbank, Wegelin & Co., Zuercher Kantonalbank, and Julius Baer Group Ltd. (BAER), the people said. Three Israeli banks – Bank Leumi Le-Israel BM (LUMI)Bank Hapoalim BM (POLI), and Mizrahi-Tefahot Bank Ltd. (MZTF) – are on the list, as well as Liechtensteinische Landesbank AG and an asset manager, NZB AG, according to the people.

U.S. Crackdown

The U.S. crackdown against offshore tax evasion has led to charges against UBS AG (UBSN), the largest Swiss bank; at least 21 foreign bankers, advisers and attorneys; and at least 36 U.S. taxpayers.

UBS, which isn’t one of the 11 banks now under scrutiny, avoided prosecution in 2009 by paying $780 million, admitting it fostered tax evasion and handing over details on 250 secret accounts. It later disclosed another 4,450 accounts.

UBS made 10.75 billion francs ($12.1 billion) in revenue in the U.S. in 2010, or 34 percent of the group’s total. Credit Suisse made 12.84 billion francs in revenue in the Americas in 2010, or 41 percent of the total. HSBC’s Swiss private bank and Julius Baer declined to disclose information on revenue from U.S. clients. A spokesman for HSBC in Geneva declined to comment on the settlement talks.

Credit Suisse gained 2.4 percent to 24.42 Swiss francs, at 3:09 p.m. in Zurich. Baer was unchanged at 34.70 francs. Basler Kantonalbank and Liechtensteinische Landesbank dropped 0.4 percent and 2.8 percent, respectively.

Statistical Data

Urs Rohner, chairman of Credit Suisse, last month told newspaper NZZ am Sonntag that the bank has transferred statistical data sought by the U.S. Marc Dosch, a spokesman for the Zurich-based bank, declined to comment further.

Basler Kantonalbank (BSKP) spokesman Michael Buess said it also gave such data to the U.S.

Wegelin & Co. spokeswoman Albena Bjoerck said it will show “Swiss and U.S. authorities that the bank has not breached either Swiss or U.S. law.” The bank is cooperating with authorities “within the scope of Swiss law.”

After a U.S. indictment of two Julius Baer bankers this month, the bank said it “is one of a number of Swiss financial institutions supporting the ongoing tax negotiations between the U.S. and Switzerland” and is cooperating with the U.S. probe. Spokesman Martin Somogyi declined to comment further.

Youval Dichovski, Zurich-based head of internal audit at Bank Leumi Switzerland Ltd., said the bank is cooperating.

Bank Hapoalim Switzerland is complying with its legal and regulatory duties in cooperating with Swiss authorities, said Chief Executive Officer Michael Warszawski. He said the bank “has only a limited number of American clients whose holdings with the bank are very small.” The bank, he said, “is not aware of any violations of U.S. law by the bank or its employees.”

Few Employees

Cyrill Sele, a Vaduz, Liechtenstein-based spokesman for Liechtensteinische Landesbank AG (LLB), said it sent statistical data to the U.S. A man who answered the phone Oct. 20 at NZB said it is closing and has only a few employees.

Zuercher Kantonalbank spokesman Urs Ackermann said the bank was informed in September of the U.S. investigation. A spokesman for Mizrahi Bank had no immediate comment.

The UBS turnover of 4,450 names, in the face of Swiss laws barring most disclosures of client data, set a precedent for the current talks. The U.S. agreed to submit a request for specific accounts under a 1996 tax treaty and a follow-up agreement in 2003. Under that accord, Swiss bank secrecy doesn’t protect accounts if the owner engaged in “tax fraud or the like,” which is a narrower definition of tax evasion than U.S. law provides.

Turned Over Accounts

The Swiss directed UBS to turn over accounts to the Swiss Federal Tax Administration for review before handing them to the IRS. Negotiators are determining how to apply the 1996 tax treaty and one adopted in 2009 that still needs ratification by the U.S. Senate, the people said.

Switzerland is continuing talks with the U.S. authorities on administrative assistance in cases of tax fraud and tax evasion,” said Norbert Baerlocher, spokesman for the Swiss embassy in Washington, in a statement. “Any exchange of client data can occur only within the scope of the current legal system, in accordance with the procedures provided for in the existing or the new double-taxation agreement with the USA.”

The Swiss agreed in March 2009 to meet international standards to avoid being blacklisted as a tax haven by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. The London-based Tax Justice Network this month ranked Switzerland at the top of its financial secrecy index.

‘A Big Issue’

“This is a big issue for these banks,” said C. Evan Stewart, an attorney at Zuckerman Spaeder LLP in New York, who isn’t involved in the settlement talks.

“These are no longer small institutions catering to wealthy people in a small part of central Europe,” he said. “These are multinational institutions now that have a reach that’s all over the world. This has a huge impact on the banking system in Switzerland. Another issue is the sovereignty in Switzerland and whether that will be given deference by other governments.”

The IRS has said 30,000 U.S. taxpayers with offshore accounts avoided prosecution since 2009 by entering a limited amnesty program, paying back taxes and saying who helped them hide their accounts from authorities. Hundreds of taxpayers in the program have given information to prosecutors that have helped them build criminal cases against bankers and advisers.

‘Wide Net’

“The DOJ and IRS are casting a wide net as they try to identify Americans guilty of offshore tax evasion,” said Aaron D. Schumacher, a Geneva-based wealth planning attorney, with Withers LLP.

“They obtained a lot of information about various Swiss banks from the participants in the voluntary disclosure programs and that has likely enabled the recent indictments we’ve seen,” he said. “More people than we saw previously have come to us looking to renounce their citizenship.”

Attorney Robert Katzberg, who represents clients in criminal tax cases, said U.S. taxpayers with Swiss accounts don’t understand that the IRS and Justice Department will get a trove of new data on secret accounts.

“There are thousands of Americans, who are the functional equivalent of residents of New Orleans on the eve of Hurricane Katrina, who have no idea that Katrina is about to happen,” said Katzberg, of Kaplan & Katzberg in New York.

The Never – Never Land Of Socialism Update `10/28/2011

In it’s early development, Socialism depended on parting fools from their money. With the devotion to fiat currency, that has become the easy part.
